Features
What goes into the backup?
What's on your main server today, and what changes on it later.
Live
New messages, edits, deletions, role changes and bans reach the backup within seconds.
Built to recover
After a restart, it picks up where it left off and catches up on what it missed.
Original quality
Images and videos are re-uploaded, not just linked, up to the backup server's size limit.
| What | How |
|---|---|
| Messages | The first copy and ongoing sync, with the original name, avatar and date; replies, forwarded messages, polls, embeds and reactions. |
| Images, videos, files | In original quality, in the same message as the original, up to the backup server's size limit. |
| Edits, deletions | As they happen. Anything that changed while the bot was down is caught up when it restarts. |
| Channels | Categories, text, announcement, voice, stage and forum channels, with name, topic, NSFW, slow mode, user limit, bitrate and order. |
| Channel permissions | Per-channel permissions for roles and members, kept in sync. |
| Threads | Active, archived and private threads, and forum posts. |
| Roles | Name, colour, permissions, separate display, mentionable setting and order, plus @everyone permissions. |
| Members | Members who are also on the backup server get the same roles, nickname and personal permissions. |
| Bans | Existing and new bans, and unbans. |
| Server | Banner, invite background, verification level, notifications, content filter, AFK and system channels. The backup's name and icon stay as they are. |
| Emojis, stickers | Created, renamed and deleted to match the main server. |
| Log | The dashboard shows how much of what was synced, and every live change. |
Limits set by Discord
- The largest file that can be uploaded to the backup server: 10 MB without boosts, Level 2: 50 MB, Level 3: 100 MB. Bigger files are linked.
- A bot cannot invite members to a server. Whoever joins the backup gets their roles from the main server automatically.
- Messages longer than 2000 characters (Nitro) appear as two consecutive messages in the backup.
- Forum, stage and announcement channels are created as the same type only on a Community backup server.
