Guide

Setting up the backup

From start to finish, in five steps.

1

Invite the bot to both servers

Add it to your main server and your backup server with the Administrator permission. Only the server's owner can start a backup or a snapshot, or an Administrator they allow on the Dashboard (Access).

Invite the bot

2

Move the bot's role to the top

On the backup server, go to Server Settings → Roles and drag the bot's role to the top of the list. The bot can only manage roles and members below its own role.

3

Start the backup

On the dashboard, sign in with Discord, choose the main server and the backup server, then click Start the backup.

In Discord, /start takes you to the dashboard. You only see servers you own, or where the owner has allowed you.

4

Follow the progress

The dashboard shows what has been copied, how much, and when the first copy is done.

5

You're done

From now on, new messages, edits, deletions, and role and permission changes are copied automatically. If the bot restarts, it picks up where it left off.

Tip: everything is on the dashboard

Sign in with Discord, pick your main server and the backup server, and start with one click. The status and logs are there too.
